1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO for sale in Whiteland, Indiana

$64,900

Breaking News.. A COPO Clone sells for $85,000 @ Spring auction. Good for them but I have yet to see one built as well as this one. It is almost an insult to call this car a replica, a tribute, or a clone because it is exact in even the smallest detail. But because it is not priced at a large six figure dollar amount, I guess we have to call it something and that would be a True Muscle Car. COPO cars with a code of 9561 was a special run of 69 Camaros equipped with the cast iron 427ci, 425hp, L72 engine from the Corvette, many of which ended up as Yenko Camaros. COPO 9737 added a 140 MPH speedo, and a 13/16- inch diameterstabelizer shaft (increased from a 11/16 standard diameter bar) In the case of our Daytona Yellow 69 Camaro (which is the original color of the car), date codes are correct, stampings are authentic, the components are exactly what the 9 Double COPO cars used, and has been restored from the ground up to a 100 point show winning condition. How exact is it? It has an early build cowl tag (09C date code). The VIN indicates that it was built in Norwood, OH (NOR code) and that it was originally a big block car. Under the hood is a 427, L72, heavy duty big block Chevrolet with a December 1968 casting date, fully dressed and detailed exactly as it would have been when it rolled off the assembly line. The belts and hoses are date coded, the clamps and fasteners are exact, and even the markings on the firewall and radiator shroud are precise. $69,900
